Party On The St Vrain

We hope you can join us at one of the most beautiful parks around for an afternoon of fun in the sun! LaVern Johnson Park — with the lovely St wrapping around the park — is a great place to hang with others on a summer day. We have a shelter reserved right next to the beach volleyball, playground, and built-in cornhole. Plus, the river should be low enough to float! It's super fun and will be a GREAT event to invite friends, classmates, coworkers, and whoever else. The more the merrier!
If you plan to float the river, you can bring you own gear or rent it from a little business in the park called Rays River Rentals. (If you opt for that, it's best to reserve ahead of time since the weekends can book up.) If you don't care to float the river (which is totally fine!), there will still be plenty of fun non-water activities.
Feel free to bring a chair, blanket, game, frisbee, tube, snacks, drinks, etc. (The park prohibits alcohol at the group shelter—anywhere else in the park is up to you.)

FYI: the parking lot is often full but there's usually street parking available within a couple blocks.
